October in Crested Butte

October is typically a slow time in Crested Butte, but not this year! Town is still busy and short-term rentals have seen an increase in bookings over previous years. While the colors won’t last much longer, October is still an amazing time to enjoy our endless trails.

Looking for a hike with 360 panoramic views? Check out Scarp’s Ridge, it’s worth the climb! Want something a bit more relaxed? Try a scenic drive to Gothic.

Crested Butte Film Festival has gone virtual. Don’t wait too long it ends October 4th!

September 2020 Market Snapshot

*Includes all residential properties and lots in Crested Butte, Mt Crested Butte, and Almont

The number of residential properties that SOLD in September 2020 was 90, an increase of 200% over September 2019. WOW!!! Single-family homes, condos, and townhomes tripled in sales while land doubled. There are currently 107 PENDING sales and 176 condos/townhomes and single-family homes on the market. While it may appear days on market has not gone down, this number is a little deceiving. With an increased number of buyers and a limited number of listings, many of the homes that sold during September were homes that have been on the market since last year or even beyond. Many new listings, especially single-family homes are going under contract within days of hitting the market!
